Plus42
Plus42 est un émulateur avancé de la calculatrice scientifique HP-42S, développée par Hewlett-Packard entre 1988 et 1995. Il s’agit d’une évolution de Free42, avec des fonctionnalités étendues pour répondre aux besoins des utilisateurs exigeants, tout en conservant la compatibilité avec le modèle original. L’interface repose sur le mode RPN (Reverse Polish Notation), tout en intégrant des améliorations comme un affichage agrandi (8x22), des expressions algébriques, des unités de mesure convertibles, des plages financières (TVM), et un traceur graphique 2D avec zoom et calculs d’intégrales.
Sur macOS, l’émulateur fonctionne sur les versions récentes (à partir de macOS 10.13 High Sierra), avec une prise en charge native des architectures modernes. Open source sous licence GPLv2, Plus42 est distribué gratuitement et s’adresse aux ingénieurs, étudiants ou passionnés nécessitant un outil polyvalent pour le calcul scientifique, la programmation ou l’analyse de données. Son approche modulaire et ses extensions (comme les répertoires de programmes) en font un outil complémentaire aux calculatrices physiques ou aux logiciels spécialisés.
